YouTube Opens up New Features to Offer Creators the Details of the Views and their Revenue

Online video-streaming giant YouTube is currently exploring the methods and processes by which it can come up with more elaborated reports on views gathered and money earned based on a creator’s video performance. YouTube is also finding ways for helping creators in coming up with videos that can justify the needs of the viewers as per the latest trends. This will be done by providing trending reports to creators.

Creator Insider, a popular YouTube channel has recently come up with a video, which has provided a glimpse of all the upcoming features from YouTube. The channel has gone on to show what the trending reports will look like once they are available. Some of these features are still under development.

YouTube Adding More Analytics Data About Views & Revenue

You can find more information below on the analytics data feature that YouTube is planning to launch this year:

1. A Fully Categorized Section with Each Video Type – The YouTube community has long craved a detailed report containing information regarding the region their views come from. It helps them identify their audience and produce content accordingly. Up until now, creators counted their views in a single metric in analytic reports, which included live streams, regular videos, or even short films. After YouTube rolls out this new feature, you can get a unique experience, as you will be able to view the data in a categorized view for every video type. You will be able to know the number of views generated based on different video formats. You will also be able to view information on how many hours of video you have uploaded, the number of views you have received regarding each format, the number of hours you have streamed online, and much more.

2. A Special Focus on YouTube Shorts – One of the highlights of this new feature is that they are also going to provide extended analytics for YouTube Shorts. It can compare your latest shorts video’s performance to previously uploaded shorts and has added a lot of analytics into the main app. Now, you can check the latest analytics data on your phone even if you are not having YouTube Studio installed.

3. Sources of Income Will Now be detailed and broken Down – There is good news for creators earning money from YouTube and those who are in the process of monetizing their videos. YouTube is in the process of breaking down and providing a detailed revenue report. This will work in such a way that you will be able to know how much revenue have you earned on what format of videos. Creators will be able to directly differentiate and observe how much amount they made from short videos, live streams, or even regular videos. YouTube will also provide more data on monetization methods in the future, as the new report will offer extensive data on tagged products, subscriptions, SuperChats, and all other ways of making money on YouTube.

4. Creators can get new video ideas – This is probably the most exciting report that YouTube is working on. Now, YouTube will help creators with new ideas for coming up with content. Recently, YouTube has released an experimental tool, which can judge the popularity of certain words searched and video topics lacking content. This tool will help creators in the future to know and be aware of all the latest trending topics on YouTube and provide information on videos, which are gaining mass popularity with your audience.

Although there is no official release date or timeline from YouTube on the availability of these features, YouTube is planning to continue its progress throughout the year.
