Rock the Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival 2024 is taking place in Fort Lauderdale like it always has and this year's event is scheduled to be held in early April. Starting from April 5th, the music fest will go on till April 7th; a total of three days. FT. Layaway Plans

The Noble Vision of Tortuga Music Festival

Arranged by Rock the Ocean, a non-profit organization; this music festival is held to generate donations with the help of tickets. A portion of the purchase will be dedicated to research for 5 Core Conservation Issues, including sea turtles, sharks, coral reefs, marine mammals as well as marina habitats. Tortuga is the other name for turtles and this music festival is an initiative to save them along with their friends. 

Founded by A.J. Niland and Chris Stacey, the Tortuga Music Festival was first arranged in 2013 with the goal of raising awareness for ocean conservation and supporting it with the help of ticket prices. A big portion of the revenue gained goes to charity in order to save the sea animals. Therefore, every ticket holder makes a fair contribution to the noble and vital cause. 

Its unique concept of utilizing music festivals as an event to gain charity is truly commendable and the organizers have been doing this for more than a decade now. Being one of the greatest trailblazers in ocean and sea conservation as well as sustainability, Tortuga Music Festival received an award last year. The event received the Bronze Stevie Award for Sustainability Leadership in the U.S. in October 2023. It also received an award at the 20th annual International Business Awards in Canada. 

The Conservation Village 

Every year, the Tortuga Music Festival features a special area known as the Conservation Village which is solely set up to raise more awareness regarding the issues that are impacting the oceans and the marine life in it. The area usually consists of many interactive booths and each of them offers something different. Starting from exhibitions, games, displays, and many others; the Conservation Village is determined to raise money and awareness every year while offering a delightful musical treat for all. Rock the Ocean works with numerous Universities, Marine Research Programs, and Institutes, as well as Conservation Centers, to execute this project and empower them with a handsome amount of charity. Within a decade, this non-profit has made its contributions to more than 30 research programs and organizations in Florida.
