PRAED offers tracks soaked in heavy instrumentals taking inspiration from the Egyptian culture

PRAED provides a new lens to look at Egyptian culture by composing tracks soaked in a mix of Arabic popular music, free jazz, and electronics. The band explores the music popular in Egypt and illuminates a great deal about the pop-rock sound and abrupt musical growth which adds a certain level of originality in the sound. The music draws on electronic influences leaving a lasting impression through it's groundbreaking high energy instrumentals. Founded by Raed Yassin and Paed Conca in 2006, the band discovered a strong connection between “Shaabi” and “Mouled” music played in religious ceremonies to showcase a fully-fledged multi-dimensional record drawing inspiration straight from the complicated the fabric of Egyptian society.

PRAED’s music manages to capture the listener’s attention with its thumping bass and sonically sculpted instrumental elements resulting in tracks that have a clear hypnotic effect. Techno, Experimental, and Intangible are the words that come to mind when you listen to the tracks. Few tracks like ‘Embassy Of Embarassment’,’ Doomsday Survival Kit Single "edited"’, and ‘Pyramids In The Sky (Fabrication Of Silver Dreams, 2016)’ unfolds a stream of beautifully organized instrumentals that highlight the free jazz and rock music of the Arabic. Raed Yassin plays the keyboards and offers vocals whereas and Paed Conca takes care of the electronic bass and the clarinet. The duo displays their untamed musical chaos I a way that evolves and grows to deliver powerful bass and electronic rich music.
