Delving deep into his innate flair for story-telling, the adroit music artist, rapper, and songwriter, Daren Robinson, professionally known as Dizzle723 has brought out his new music video ‘SO HEARTLESS’ presenting listeners with an awe-inspiring and innovative new gem from the crevices of his creative genius. The music video sets the tone on an unorthodox note as it begins with a conversation between the artist and his therapist where he reveals how he has been struggling with the memories and thoughts that have been haunting him and that he needed her help. Understanding the severity of the situation, she sets up an emergency appointment when the viewers are given the disclaimer “This story is based on True Events”, which instantly grabs their attention.
The narrative flows out unhinged as the artist pours his heart out into the lyrical outflow, and he collaborates with Big Prod and DonTwon, as they together enact the state of his mind. This genius method of giving his audience an honest peek into his mind and exposing his vulnerable side, helps them connect with him on a deeper level, while at the same time, the carefree freestyle rap brings a groovy lightness to the song, which turns out to be a chef’s kiss for this masterpiece.
Born and raised in Compton, Dizzle723 began his rap career in the early 90s as a part of the rap duo BWF (Black Women Fantasy), with Tommy Y, and later on became a part of the west coast rap group, South Central Cartel's crew called, "The Murder Squad". Having worked in projects like "Mama I Can't Breathe" which is a battle cry song addressing police brutality against black and brown people with Big Prodeje, Cali Pitts, and LV, and “Good Times", the sheer brilliance of ‘SO HEARTLESS’ comes as no surprise, and the music video is available on Youtube.
